Anyway, my Z was recovered about 10-12 blocks away from my house, in a small cut/alley on the end of Excelsior street.

I went to go check it out at the impound today. Pretty weird sight.

How they broke in? I was looking the car over, it seems they used a slimjim/coat hanger or whatnot, the fuse (I'm guessing there was a fuse there, since the wire the housing was connected to was pulled up and out) for the alarm was missing, and the thieves jacked my ignition tumbler up enough to start the car with a flathead screwdriver. =(.

Car would not start when I tried today. Too saddened by the sight to figure anything out.

Weird stuff: They broke my center console. But left stock stereo. Left turbo timer. Nice. Breaking my stuff just to break it.

They broke rear speaker enclosures. But left rear speakers.

They left exhaust. They left wheels. They left BOV's.

Here's the kicker. What they did take was my driver side door. Which makes me think...maybe it was another Z owner that needed a door? But why would s/he stop there and not take everything else and sell it off?

I'm glad I do not have access to alcohol. Or I would be drowning in it right now. I have to stop these 4 AM sleepless nights. But I can't.

Are doors expensive? NADA value of my Z is roughly $6000...and giving a rough guesstimate I'm estimating the damage done as far as the door thing goes is about $2K already? As far as my understanding goes, insurance companies call cars total losses if the cost to fix > NADA value. correct me if i'm wrong.

Not counting the potential damage the thieves could've done while joyriding that I have yet to discover....

OMG. FU**. I need some sleep.

Sorry for the ramble TT.net. Thanks guys.
